Gary Wolfson was my first friend. We met at half-day at Polo Park when we were three. His mother, Florence, and my mother, Grace, became friends as they waited to pick us up at noon every day. Amazingly, we went all the way through school and Sunday school together and I visited the farm in Ocala several times over the years and even got to pick a name for a horse. I was thinking about Gary recently as I looked over our class pictures and wondered if he might attend the reunion. He was a very private person so I had little hope he would be there. Thanks to all of you who keep our memories alive through the Class website. The mention of Gary's passing gave me a chance to pay my respects for a few minutes. I appreciate that.

Buck, indeed. Gary was a class act. Learning of his passing brought both fond memories and sorrow.

I knew Gary for a long time. Our fathers were school mates. He taught me about horses, and we went out to Hialeah race track often to watch his father's horses train. Under his guidance I started keeping index cards of their progress. We had quite the time on North Bay Road.

Gary was one of the "sweetest" man I ever knew.  He was my very first boyfriend at North Beach Elementary.  Ill never forget that he gave me a beautiful red satin box filled with chocolates for Valentines Day.  I havent received another since.  Visited him at Northwestern during a walk-out.  It was a difficult time for him.  I have only the "best" memories of him.!

Gary was a class act. He was kind to all the kids regardless of socio-economic status. I never saw him after graduation, but I did always think the best of him.

My memory of Gary, as a friend, was that he was one of the "Good Guys". That's my ultimate compliment for people. While not the wildest guy on the block, he was smart, kind and somebody you felt comfortable with. My memories of Cathy are also fond. It seems they both enjoyed success and happiness and have left behind an appropriate legacy. By the way, I just looked over the list of departed classmates.  TOO FxxKING LONG!!!
